Welcome to our SEEBURGER Community! Our community guidelines serve as the foundation of our interactions here, ensuring a positive and constructive environment for all members. These guidelines promote respectful communication, encouraging users to engage in meaningful discussions while fostering a spirit of collaboration.

Your registration

You can read all public content of the community without being registered. If you wish to participate in a discussion, read or share your contributions, you need to register to receive a user account. You can register here. We will manually review your affiliation.

Be part of the discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by adding something positive to the discussion, however small.

One way to improve the discussion is by discovering ones that are already happening. Spend time browsing the topics here before replying and you’ll have a better chance of meeting others who share your interests.

The topics discussed here matter to us. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said. Use English for your contributions to ensure global understanding and enabling users from all over the world to understand and discuss your posts.

Offensive, abusive, obscene or sexually explicit language

Your participation counts

To ask a new question, please start a new thread instead of posting to an existing one in order to avoid confusion. This way, your question can be answered precisely and owners of other posts are able to follow the suggestions and answers related to their question. Please read the category definitions to find a suitable category for your thread. Avoid cross-posting the same topic in multiple categories if you haven’t received an answer to your question.

Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream to avoid unrelated comments and answers. If you want to give additional information, please reply in the same thread. Starting a new thread on the same topic, will make it difficult for moderators and other users to follow and help you.

This platform provides tools that enable the community to collectively identify the best contributions: bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, watching, muting and so forth. Use these tools to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.

Flag unaccaptable behavior or content

Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you.

If you see unacceptable behavior, please flag the post. If flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

In order to keep our community a place according to our guidelines, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. There is no preview or approval process of new posts. The moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.

Community communication

Our moderators are constantly monitoring the community activities and are trying to answer every question within the agreed time frame. If you haven’t received an answer or you have a question regarding your user account or a flagged post, please contact us at community@seeburger.com.

Privacy

Your provided personal information is subject to our Privacy Policy which is a part of these Terms. We follow German legislation for personal data management.

Content and use

By using the SEEBURGER Community Services you warrant that all the registration (and profile) information you submit is accurate and you will maintain the accuracy of such information and your use of Services does not violate any applicable law or regulation.

SEEBURGER may delete Content that in the sole judgment of SEEBURGER violates these Terms. We however assume no responsibility for monitoring for inappropriate content nor review any Content before it is posted.

You as a SEEBURGER Community User are solely responsible for the Content you post through any of the Services and any information or materials you transmit directly to other Users.

Prohibited content and usage

The following is a list of prohibited or illegal usages of the Services. We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate actions against anyone (in our sole discretion) who violates rules, including removing offending content and terminating the SEEBURGER Community Membership.

Prohibited usage includes, but is not limited to: uploading, posting or otherwise making available or promoting:

any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, harm minors or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, pornography and “adult content”;
any Content that contains nudity, violence, pornography, “adult content” or contains links to any other web site with such materials
any Information that you know is false or misleading
any Content that promotes illegal or fraudulent activities
any Content that you do not have a right to make publicly available or promotes the illegal use of any work without rights or license;
any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party;
any “junk”, “spam”, “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes” etc.;
any material that contains software viruses, spyware, malware or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or other electronic equipment, steal or collect private information;
any material that collects or contains personal information of other Users for any unlawful purpose or without the User’s permission
any material that promotes pharmacy or financial products (such as loans, credit cards, bank accounts) and encourage Users to visit websites offering such products
any material that promote fraudulent services and misleads Users to visit legally doubtful websites.

Other prohibited usage includes:

intentionally or unintentionally violating any applicable local, state, national or international law;
collecting, storing or publishing available personal data about others without their acceptance;
advertising to (or soliciting of) Users to buy or sell any product or services through direct communication provided by the Services without their prior consent; this includes sending spam, junk messages or chain letters to other Users via the Messaging feature or any live connection
interfering with any part of the Services, exploiting possible bugs or security holes;
misleading Users by imitating any part of the Services for collecting personal data or other unlawful purpose;
using an identity (account, username, password) of another User or disclosing your own username or password to any third party or permitting any third party to access your account;
transferring your profile (includes selling) to any third party;
promoting objectionable content through the created Sites (e.g. pharmacy products, financial products)

Users can contact SEEBURGER to make sure that their intended use of SEEBURGER Community Services does not violate the Terms.

Copyright policy

You are not allowed to post, modify, distribute or reproduce any copyrighted material, trademarks or other proprietary information that belongs to others without having permission.

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted in the SEEBURGER Community without your permission, and against the license under which it is distributed - please contact us via email: InformationSecurity@seeburger.de

Termination and blocking

SEEBURGER reserves the right, without notice and in its sole discretion, to terminate your license to use the Services, and to block or prevent your access to and use of the Service.

We also reserve the right to block any IP address from accessing or modifying any or all parts of the Service.

Users can also delete their SEEBURGER Community accounts by themselves.

Disclaimers

SEEBURGER is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate Content posted in the Community. SEEBURGER is not responsible for links to other websites, nor the content of linked websites.

SEEBURGER takes no responsibility for advertisements posted by third parties through the Service, nor any items or services offered by the advertiser.

The Services are provided “AS IS”. You are using SEEBURGER Community Services at your own risk. Although we work hard to keep the Services online and working, we take no responsibility for possible errors, damages, lost Content or malfunction.

Except in those jurisdictions which do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, SEEBURGER expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind and shall not be liable for any damages or losses whether directly or indirectly related to your use of this site or its content.

This limitation of liability shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Legal disputes

You agree to indemnify SEEBURGER, its owners, employees and users from any liability relating to your use of the Services.

You agree that any legal dispute involving SEEBURGER Community Services shall be governed by the laws of Germany, and be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Germany.
